The AppLab project of Bakcell together with INNOLAND Incubation and Acceleration Center held a “Demo Day” for the participants of their joint incubation program.

The purpose of the “Demo Day” was to introduce the startups who need access to financing to the potential investors, and support the establishment of sustainable relations between the parties in a suitable environment.

Thus, the successful finalists of the joint incubation program of Bakcell and INNOLAND, were invited to demonstrate their achievements and progress, as well as to meet representatives of companies and entrepreneurs who are interested to invest into promising startups.

During the “Demo Day”, three startups supported by Bakcell, being the “Bon.az” (www.bon.az -online cash-back service), “Towaves” (www.towaves.com - platform for finding and building local communities) and “Fonibo” (www.fonibo.com - on-demand grocery & food delivery platform) were also granted a chance to talk about their progress, future plans and gain the attention of potential investors.

It should be remembered that in the year 2018 Bakcell signed a cooperation agreement with the INNOLAND Incubation and Acceleration Center of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan. Within the frames of this agreement, Bakcell and INNOLAND jointly implement the incubation program for local startups. During the incubation period, the startup teams received extensive support from Bakcell and INNOLAND in the form of free office space, mentorship, equipment, and training, along with many other useful possibilities to work on their project and turn their startup into successful and innovative business.

Since the year 2014, local startups and developers engaged in creation of various hardware and software receive support from Bakcell’s AppLab program for implementation of their ideas.
